Evans Pit Bar-B-Que Incorporated in DeSoto

One of the worst Q places. Way to over price with slow service and deaf people that can not hear the phone apparently. Tried to call at 7pm to place a order and I had to call 5 times until a answer. Finally the phone gets answered and low and behold they say they are closed. The place closes at 9pm so they say but this place closes whenever they feel like it. Would not recommend this place at all there are way to many better ones in Texas food wise and service wise i really want to give it a negative.#FAIL

Very well organised and accessible spot. They provide large meals and for reasonable prices. I liked the meals a lot and the staff members were very personal and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this place.

Great service and amazing taste

Sliced brisket was dry af like it had been sitting since yesterday. Sausage was ok didn't really didn't taste smoked. The ribs were good but you on got 3 and they were small. Potatoe salad was tasty and dirty rice was good too. Overall it's was okay. It was my 1st visit but don't think I'll be going back. For 15 bucks I was not satisfied. The portions was not worth it. You want good BBQ and good portions... Goto smokey Joe's in oakcliffamerica.

The best Ribs

We love their bbq, and finally some good potato salad, and the cashier is super friendly, dinner prices are decent.

This place has the best ribs in Texas that I have tasted so far. I've spent significant time in Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas and Evans has the best! They don't even need barbecue sauce! Nice smoky and flavorful there are some good ole seasonings that make these ribs stand out. I had a side of green beans and collard greens which didn't have any meat in them but were still tasty.

Visited this place for the first time after driving by for months. Its hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten!!! Everything was seasoned perfectly, on my next trip trying deserts!!!

Hadn't been on Years...There will be a wait on a Fri/Sat, but it's worth it! Call in your order ahead of time. Ribs & sausage were smoked perfectly & delicious. Enjoy!

I eat here a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always great and they keep the spot well kept consistently. Pricing is convenient and they serve generous portions.

Evans Bar B Que is truly the best bbq. My only problem is their food is so good and their dessert is awesome. My main dessert was the sweet potato pie but every time I went back, it was sold out. Then I tried the banana pudding and it was so awesome as well. Now they are out of it a lot as well. It's gets frustrating at times but what can I say, it is a first come first serve basis. I come to realize now everyone loves Evans just as much as I do..

Haven't been to Evan's in years. I will start with the excellent service today. The food was great! Just as we remembered. The fish was fried to perfection and the ribs we're tender and seasoned just right. Same recipes same great taste!!!

Fish was good, only thing I did not like was they put pickles loose in my plate. If you like pickles then there should be no problem.

Everything was good. The potato could have been a little softer. The ribs were excellent as always and service was very good.

Friendly service and tasty chopped beef sandwich

Stopped by yesterday and we were so delighted. Small , trendy little shop with a sweet woman working the register. Nice customer service and atmosphere. The food was the most AMAZING Ribs , chopped beef potato etc. We will definitely be frequenting this gem again and again !!!

I tried today for first time. Rib dinner was smoked well, but the rub was just a little to sweet for my taste. Its unfortunate because as i said the smoke flavor was good. I was disappointed with my sides. Macaroni and cheese had ground meat in it. It wish the menu would have said that. It was more like hamburger helper. Service was good and people were friendly.

I had a problem with the pound of ribs. My friend ate two, later I tried to eat one but realized that they should have been thrown away. I was trying to impress my friend. She didn’t tell me they were bad, I discovered it a couple of hrs later. I was wondering why she only ate two. This was closing time on Saturday, they’re closed Sunday and Monday. I returned them on Tuesday. Ms. Johnnie the one that everyone says is so nice told me, since I only returned some of the ribs that she was going to give me some of my money. This is no way to treat your customers. This is their first time that I’ve experienced something like this. Enough Said

So good that I can just taste it now. Each thing we’ve had is delicious. We just never know when they’re open. Sometimes they’re there and sometimes they’re not. Disappointing when you REALLY want it. Still, we wait for them. It’s THAT good. That’s why they still get all 5 stars!

Had the brisket, sausage and link which is a beef sausage. All good. Brisket dry, but their sauce is delicious. My co worker had ribs. He said good but very sweetFried okra good. Potato salad had bell pepper in it, not to my liking
